The türbe (mausoleum) is located in about the center of the modern settlement of Mesia (former Mpampakioi). It is part of a charitable complex, founded in the area in the mid-15th century and included additionally a bathhouse and a mosque. It is square in plan and there is a dome on top. Its construction is elaborate.
After the population exchange in 1924, refugees from Elbasanion Metron of Eastern Thrace, a settlement near Constantinople, settled here.

In order to cover the needs of the new inhabitants, the türbe was converted in 1930 into the church of St. Constantine and Helen with only minor additions, such as an alcove in the east for the creation of the Holy Sepulchre and a narthex in the west. The refugees transferred, apart from the worship of the Saints, the relics from the homonymous church of Elbasanion, several of which can the visitor see inside the church.
